The Upper Room Angels program, was established 1989 as a financial support group for The Upper Room Hospitality Ministry's Soup Kitchen and Food Bank. Since its inception through to the end of the fiscal year ending September 30, 2007, the Angels have raised a total of $1,297,792 at a cost of less than two per cent. In the last fiscal year 2007, the Angels contributed $84,000 to the Ministry, or 50 per cent of the cash needed to provide the equivalent of 190,202 meals. The annual campaign begins the day after Labour Day in September, and ends at the end of December. However, it is never too late to become an Upper Room Angel.
